I see Lingering Glow bringing a gentle warmth to an entry hall, bedroom or favourite reading corner. Soft rose and terracotta move through golden ochre, deep brown and small accents of red. Its intimate square format offers a place for the eye to rest, with enough movement and contrast to keep drawing you closer.
Lingering Glow is part of my Blossoms Series. Across the mixed media surface, soft edges meet firmer marks, and the weave of the Fredrix cotton canvas shows through the colour. Light passages sit beside darker areas, giving the painting a feeling of warmth that remains as you look from one part of it to another.
