Art Placement Guidlines
A guide to displaying your Ayoub Mohebbi artwork with elegance
Choosing the Right Wall
- Eye Level Viewing: Position the artwork so its center sits around 145–155 cm (57–61 in) from the floor — the average eye level in galleries.
- Furniture Balance: When placing above furniture, leave 15–25 cm of space between the top of the furniture and the bottom of the frame.
- Scale & Proportion: Choose a wall where the artwork fills two-thirds to three-quarters of the width of the furniture beneath it.
Lighting the Artwork
- Soft & Indirect: Use diffused lighting (natural or artificial) to enhance texture and depth without glare.
- Accent Lights: A single directional spotlight or a pair of wall washers angled at 30° can dramatize textures and elevate presence.
- Avoid Direct Sunlight: Prolonged exposure may cause fading over time. Filtered natural light is safe.
Room & Atmosphere
- Living & Dining Areas: Place statement pieces where they anchor the room — above a sofa, console, or dining table.
- Bedrooms: Opt for serene, contemplative works positioned at the headboard or opposite the bed.
- Hallways & Entrances: Smaller or vertical works create rhythm and welcome.
Framing & Finishing
- Your artwork comes custom-framed (for originals). Allow for a few extra centimeters around the canvas when considering placement.
- Always hang using sturdy hardware appropriate for your wall type.
Caring for Your Artwork
- Dust gently with a soft, dry cloth — never cleaning sprays.
- Keep away from excess humidity or extreme heat.
- Handle with clean hands and avoid touching painted surfaces.
A Final Note
Each piece is created to not only decorate but to transform your space into a sanctuary of reflection and beauty. Trust your instinct — place it where you will feel its presence most deeply.
