Grace holds a room the way she holds herself — still, unhurried, in on something the rest of us aren't. Fire and blue run straight into each other behind her closed eyes and never resolve, because by now, she's stopped needing them to.
Grace belongs to my Unframed Series — ten portraits, each one holding a different stage of breaking free. This piece sits at the far end of that arc, past the parts that pull and unravel. The frame around her has mostly come apart by now — not with a fight, just quietly, the way most real change actually happens.
