5 Golden Rules for Displaying Your Artwork

  1. Hang at Eye Level
    Center your piece 145–155 cm (57–61 in) from the floor — the standard gallery height.
  2. Balance with Furniture
    Leave 15–25 cm above sofas, consoles, or headboards for harmony.
  3. Let It Breathe
    Choose a wall where the artwork fills about two-thirds of the width beneath it — avoid crowding.
  4. Light with Care
    Use soft, indirect or angled lighting. Avoid direct sunlight to preserve color and texture.
  5. Protect & Respect
    Dust with a soft, dry cloth, avoid humidity/heat, and handle by the frame — not the painted surface.
